چکیده
Production of Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) is expanding in both the traditional and non-native areas Jammu Kashmir, India. A study was carried out to develop a cost-effective production system module at ARSSSS, SKUAST-Kashmir, Pampore determine suitable corm weight planting density for saffron. The treatments current includes 3 levels (W1= < 8g, W2= 8-12g W3 = >12g) 5 densities viz., 15 lakh density/ha, 12 10 05 density/ha 03 (farmers practice). Economically, saffron corms were sown ditches plant geometry accommodate 04 corms, irrespective densities. observations recorded on percentage emergence, number flowers per unit area, rod length, stigma fresh dry flower, weight, total yield, multiplication ratio, onset flowering period. results showed that all factors mentioned above other than length quality significantly affected by density. Corms with higher started earlier their time longer treatments. Four years evaluation experiment confirms marked superiority yield weighing >7g population corms/ha raised bed duration 4 years.

To develop saffron planting in Urmia, West Azerbaijan, Iran, a split-split plot experiment based on CRBD was carried out in the Urmia University's research farm for two years (2013-14). Nanofertilizers (Fe, P, K and nofertilizer (control)) as main plots, saffron ecotypes (Mashhad, Torbat-Heydarieh, Torbat-jam, Gonabad, Ghaen and Birjand) as subplots and maternal corm weight (6, 8, 10 and 12 g) ...
